Somdal Associates teamed with The Newman Partnership to design the new Municipal Courts Building. Somdal Associates’ responsibilities were to provide the Schematic and Interior Design Services for the project. The facility consists of five courtrooms, clerk of Court Offices, City Marshal Offices, public areas and judges` chambers.

This building has become an important landmark and was designed to exist in harmony with its surrounding buildings. Access to secure areas is restricted while still maintaining an open and inviting floor plan. Durable ceramic tile floors with rich wood wall panels and chair rails add to the warmth of the environment.
