The Parker Layton Gymnasium at Northwood High School was designed as a varsity basketball facility including a weight training loft in the upper gymnasium area, varsity team locker rooms, meeting room, offices, and storage for the mens and womans teams. The facility features a scoreboard suspended from the structure that is reminiscent of larger arenas around the country. The lobby area has a full service concession area and a booster club room for the team and school supporters. The building has been named after the first principal of the school, Parker Layton.
